We’ve heard a lot about smartphone sensors in the previous few years, but 2022 may see their lenses seize lastly some of the limelight. It’ll still a bit too early for liquid lenses and metalenses to go large, but other tech is effervescent to the floor. Instagram head Adam Mosseri recently announced that the app is “working on a model of a chronological feed”, which it “hopes to launch next 12 months”. This is nice news for those who’ve missed the characteristic since it disappeared in 2016, but it’s unlikely to stem the exodus of photographers from the Facebook-ified service. …
